A native of Bronx, N.Y. Jorge Borras was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while serving in the U.S. Navy's elite Special Boat Units. This was when he was befriended by Professor Carlos Valente 5th degree black belt under Rickson Gracie. He then became assistant instructor for 2 years under Professor Valente. Instructor Borras has had the opportunity to train with some of the best. Even sharing a baptism with UFC champion Vitor Belfort. These champions are not only associates but also friends. Instructor Borras has been trained and influenced by Rickson Gracie, Royler Gracie, Dean Lister, Saulo Ribiero, Fernando "Margarida" Pontes, Kid Peligro,  Vitor Belfort, Ryan Gracie,  Helder Menezes, Luis "Limao" Hereida, Alexandre Paiva, Jeff Higgs, Nay seda,and many more. Instructor Borras was also 2 time champion of Joe Moriearas annual Jiu-Jitsu tournament sweeping the purple belt division both times.He achieved the rank of Brown Belt on May 11, 2002. He went on to pass his knowledge to his associates in S.E.A.L. Teams 1,3,and 5,and Special Boat Units. HUYA!!!!!
